About the Artist
Hello! I'm Christine Hilburn & I'm the maker behind Hilburn Handmade. I have been a potter and ceramic artist in some capacity for 12 years and this website has been a long time coming! All ceramic work is handmade from start to finish and food & beverage safe. I LOVE color and experimenting with pattern and consider myself a proud maximalist! I have a BFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Ceramics & a M.Ed. in Secondary Education. In addition to creating the work seen here, I also teach high school level ceramics & sculpture.
About the Studio
Hilburn Handmade is a 3-season outdoor pottery studio in St. Charles, MO. We are transforming our space into a certified wildlife habitat & sensory garden full of native plants for pollinators & birds and full of inspiration for artists. The color schemes and patterns in our pottery are directly inspired by the natural studio space and we hope they inspire you to sip your favorite beverage outside!
